Bug #001

This page describes a known bug in AlgoSim.

Symptom: It is not possible to create a new program from within AlgoSim 0.9.0.117. The error message "An unexpected error occurred during the creation of the new program file: the path cannot be found" (or similar) is shown.

Applies to: This problem is found in AlgoSim 0.9.0.117 and possibly some earlier versions.

Cause: This is caused by a problem with the AlgoSim installation utility, which fails to create the directory in which the user's programs are stored.

Solution: There are two ways to resolve this issue.

Manually: You can create the folder %LOCALAPPDATA%\Rejbrand\AlgoSim\2.0\programs manually in your file system.
Automatically: A hotfix has been developed for this particular bug. Simply download and run ashf001.exe (90 kB).
