Bug #002

This page describes a known bug in AlgoSim.

Symptom: Function eigenvalues might not return the correct eigenvalues of the argument matrix. In the screenshot below, the eigenvalues of C are incorrect.

Applies to: This problem is found in AlgoSim 0.9.0.117 and possibly some earlier versions.

Cause: This is caused by a malfunctioning algorithm for numerical computation of matrix eigenvalues in the AlgoSim kernel.

Solution: There is currently no hotfix or workaround for this bug. The user is strongly advised not to rely on the eigenvalues function.

Naturally, this bug will be fixed in a future version of AlgoSim.
