Wave Simulator and Longitudinal (Sound) Wave Simulator

Description

This Windows application allows the user to enter the parameters for two plane harmonic waves and then draws these and their superpositioned sum in the time-dependent plane, just as it would look like in "real life". The program may be used for simplified understanding of the different parameters (amplitude, period, frequency, angular frequency, wavelength, inverted wavelength, wavenumber etc.) and various phenomena of superposition, such as beat if the frequencies and wavelengths only differ slightly between the two otherwise identical waves.

I have also developed a version using longitudinal waves, e.g. sound. Using this application, one can for instance very easily study the formation of standing waves.
